  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very interesting tradition that originated among troops in South East Asia during the Vietnam War. This particular Flight Suit, or “Party Suit”, belonged to USAF Major Charles “Charlie” Harry Croninger.

In our research, we found that Croninger was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. We are not sure what the insignia on the right breast is. The party suit is dark green and has embroidered Major’s oak leafs on the shoulders with a hand-embroidered bird squadron insignia on the right breast. On the left breast is the embroidered name “Charlie Croninger” and his senior pilot’s wings. There is some staining in the back but otherwise this is a really great example of a Vietnam War party suit! The set comes with a printed photo of his gravestone and another of his daughter holding a photo of him in uniform.

Comes ready for further research and display.
