Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great Soviet propaganda poster from the “Great Patriotic War”, World War II. It depicts AH running & holding his 1943 plan for the “Decisive Offensive against the Red Army” which has obviously not worked. He runs alongside another man whose tongue is labeled “Elastic Defense”. They are being chased by a large Soviet artillery piece with the true plan for 1943, the release of Orel, Belgorod, Kharkov, and other Soviet cities soon to be unhanded from the Germans.
The poster measures 8⅜ x 11⅛”, and was designed by Boris Efimov, a well known artist who drew some of the most iconic Soviet posters of the war. The poster is in great shape overall without any serious damage, just some small tears along the edges. The poster is dated 1943 in the corner.
A great piece, ready to frame and display!
