Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a rare Spanish PO-1 grenade cutaway which was used for training, showing the internal workings of the grenade.. The grenade is marked POMI on the top with markings denoting it as inert along the bottom, reading INERT 4-2-59 APGI LOT 826.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The grenades are black and unmarked with a coat of arms or grenade model number molded on the top of the safety cap. This grenade has a black bakelite casing and was used as an offensive grenade and acts very largely by blast effect. The maximum effect is obtained at 2 metres and it is said to be effective at 3.5 metres with a deterrent effect at 10 metres radius. The impact fuze is similar in function to the British No 247 all-ways-acting fuze.
A wonderful example of a rare Spanish grenade used as a cutaway for training that comes more than ready for further research and display.
