Regular price $4,495.00

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic original M1919A4 display gun setup, complete with an original WWII dated Tripod, pintle, T&E, and some great accessories! It was built using original WWII Type issue parts on a BATF compliant non-firing display receiver, making this a 100% legal display machine gun. This receiver looks to have been created using an original left hand side plate, combined with a dummy right side plate with replicated markings and an original barrel trunion, trigger group, and floor plate, combined with some new made steel portions. The barrel has also been welded into the trunion, and most likely deactivated. No internals were used to make this gun, and a fixed dummy cocking handle has been attached to the dummy right side plate. Every part on this display gun is original WWII manufacture other than this handle and some other small fasteners.

The Browning M 1919A4 was the definitive U.S. MG of WWII. The M1919 Browning is a .30 caliber medium machine gun that was widely used during the 20th century. The U.S. and many other countries used it as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft, and anti-aircraft machine gun, especially during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Although it began to be superseded by newer designs in the later half of the century (such as by the M60 machine gun), it remained in use in many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries and elsewhere for much longer. It is very similar in design to the larger .50 in (12.7 mm) M2 Machine Gun, the "Ma Deuce", which is also a Browning-designed weapon and is still in NATO service.

IMA is proud to offer a totally non-firing display machine gun, built from a parts set into a BATF compliant non-firing dummy gun. The top cover opens, and many original markings remain, this is a very appealing display gun. Both the front and rear sight are fully functional, and it comes with a great short length of disintegrating links, which can be put into the feed tray to give it a great look. The rear of the ventilated barrel jacket also has a very nice carry handle attached, which we believe to be USGI, but cannot confirm. Condition overall is excellent, showing very little wear or damage from service.

The display gun sits on an original WWII issue Complete M2 Tripod, which features an original USGI issued T&E and Pintle. Some makers put their markings on a data plate on the front of the central hub, while this example has all the markings stamped on the rear of the central hub, which read:

C 59336
E.P.
No. 103501 A.B.Q.
MOUNT, TRIPOD
CAL. .30 M2
EVANS PROD. CO. 1942

It looks to possibly have been parkerized post manufacture, which was often done during the post war era. The tripod, T&E, and pintle all are fully functional.

This is your opportunity to own a nice full display setup of America's most famous WW2 Medium Machine Gun, complete with some great accessories. Ready to display!
