Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce Wehrmacht Field Hospital Surgeon’s tool set in its original tropical canvas case reinforced with leather straps. The set is in great condition with the original metal sterilizing container that comes with a set of retracting legs, which allow it to be heated by a spirit burner lamp or some similar source of heat in field conditions, directly at the frontline. The set retains most of its original tools, making it an unbelievably rare find.

The case measures roughly 15 ½" x 8" x 4”. The set includes:

- The original tropical canvas case, which the tool set is placed directly into. One of the leather straps has unfortunately broken as shown.
- The Two-piece Metal Sterilizing Container inside which the entire set is contained. Marked with a Rampant Lion and B.C.C..
- Surgical tool roll with seven medical tools including forceps in different sizes, a straight razor, a large knife marked E. HARAN, and two curved fork tools. Also includes surgical string still wrapped in original paper. There are a good few tools missing here for sure. 
- Larger surgical tool roll with almost ALL instruments retained, 22 in total including surgical scissors, pliers, forceps, snipping pliers, a large THERMO-STAHL AUSTAUSCHBAR syringe, two original glass tubes with sterile string inside, and several other surgical instruments. Makers include DANIELS, B.M. CHIRON, LEKOP, and more. An insanely scarce set of tools.
- Strapped tourniquet with ornate buckle and knob.
- 1941 Dated Bandage marked Im Dampfe kalmfrel gemacht bel 120. Still fully sealed.
- Box of Steel Safety pins, 10 remaining inside.
- 2 Unmarked sealed bandages.
- Tin of Injektionsnadeln, injection needles. They are still in their original plastic packaging and are all intact. Great & scarce set. Marked Schutz-Marke.

This extensive surgical instrument set contains a wide range of the equipment an army surgeon may have needed at a German field hospital. Some of the instruments, such as the syringe and bandages, are for specific tasks. Other instruments, such as the forceps for clamping bones, arteries, and intestines, have a more general use.. The use of steel for the trays as well as the instruments ensured that this equipment could be sterilized easily.

This is one of the scarcest surgical sets we have ever offered, and comes ready for further research and display.
