Item Description
New Made Item: This high quality U.S. WW2 hat known by its official designation as Cap, Winter is comprised of a 100% cotton outer shell with a 100% fine wool interior. It was worn folded up, like a baseball cap, during warmer weather or flaps down and secured by a steel buckle round the chin to fend off winter conditions.
Actually many GIs wore these under their standard issue M1 helmets; however, these caps were in very short supply during the battle of the bulge during the winter of 1944/45. Luckily, IMA has a stockpile of these to keep any head warm and dry during the coldest months of the year.

Cap review
The cap is a decent reproduction. It keeps my head VERY warm. However, it dose have one glaring issue. the bill of the cap is far to flimsy and not wide enough. it needs to have width and thickness similar to a baseball cap, just like the originals. FYI, the official designation of this cap is as follows: Cap, Winter, M1937.
Very nice M1907 WW2 copy
Nice copy of the Cap, Winter M1907 in use early in WW2 until the M1943 cap was introduced. Well made and no issues for the price. Sized right.
WW II Winter Cap
Nice cap; nice materials and workmanship. One metal buckle was a little bent, but straightened out OK. Bought 3 altogether.
