This is a stellar embossed copper powder flask manufactured by the American Flask & Cap Company, which was a short-lived manufacturing company that only produced flasks from 1857 until its dissolution in 1865. This example has a very nice fluted design and is a smaller piece.
The flask is marked on the cap AM. FLASK & CAP CO.. The pouring cap has the desired powder amounts stamped on to allow for proper pour rates. The cap screws on and off perfectly with no issue. There is no powder remaining in the flask. This example dates to the Civil War period. A very beautiful flask that will fit well into any Civil War or 19th Century firearm collection! The flask measures roughly 7½” in length.
