Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a rare & lovely UO-243 45mm Fragmentation round, complete with its shell casing and fitted with a KTM-1 Fuze. Rounds such as this were designed to produce the maximum number of lethal fragments, which would damage personnel and equipment. These were used in the M1937 and M1942 Anti-Tank Guns, as well as in the 45mm tank guns M1932 and M1934, which were mounted in the obsolete Soviet T-70 light tank. The round is completely inert and void of any explosive content, and is in total compliance with the current BATF regulations governing the ownership of inert ordnance. Not Available For Export.
The round measures approximately 17 1/2 x 2 1/4" (at base), and is offered in good condition. This example is very well-preserved with many markings still visible, including a date of 1938. There are proof markings and numbers stamped across the shell, and appears to be dated 1939 on the bottom of the casing.
This rare round will make a great addition to any WW2 ordnance collection!
