Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great segment of a WWII Era advertisement board for Old Gold cigarettes, which depicts soldiers marching in a line with the slogan, “Not a Cough in a Carload”. “Not a Cough in a Carload” was a slogan used by the Lorillard Tobacco Company to advertise their Old Gold brand of cigarettes. The slogan was used in various forms until 1934.
The board measures 22 x 27½ and was originally part of a larger board that was cut away. The top reads selected material which was part of a larger phrase above it. The bottom right has a pack of Old Golds with the caption Always Fresh - - Sealed in Celluloid. This is a very neat piece which would look great in a WWII display. The men on the right appear to be cadets of West Point Military Academy from their uniforms. A really great piece, ready for further research and display. It is a board and it is not rollable or foldable, so it will have to ship as is.
