Original Items. Very Few Available. We have a few great examples of M1879 Rifle & Carbine Combination tools, in good serviceable condition. It features 2 screwdriver blades, Band spring punch and its top slot opening serves as a mainspring clamp. This tool will work on all Springfield 45-70 Rifles, Carbines, and Cadets. It will fit in the Butt compartment of a Model 1888 rifle. This tool will also work on Earlier Civil War Muskets and rifles. It can be used to totally remove and disassemble a 58 Caliber musket including the lock. They all read U.S. MOD 1879 on the side.

These are all in somewhat oxidized condition, so they will take some oil to get the rotating piece moving again. Perhaps some WD40 or other sort of lubricant will help. We were able to get one of them to move, but it took a lot of force. So please be aware that it will come needing some help to get moving.
