Item Description
Original Items: Only One Set of Two Available. As WWII progressed and Germany suffered ever increasing material shortages, it became difficult even to obtain the standard BeVo embroidered breast eagles for use on Heer Army uniforms. They were forced to turn to these printed versions, which are very rare to find on the market today.
They are printed onto a 5"W x 4 3/4" piece of feldgrau cotton twill using what looks to be blue and white ink/paint, and each eagle measures 4 1/8" x 1 5/8". There are still visible dotted line markings indicating where the eagles should be cut apart to attach to the uniform. The colors on these are relatively well retained, and they show no signs of ever having been installed on a uniform. There is just a bit of fraying at the edges and a tiny stain in the upper left.
An excellent set of two late war Heer Breast eagles, ready to add to your collection!
