Original Item: Very Few Available. We have just uncovered a few of these Cold War Era West German Bundeswehr aluminum three piece mess kits in our warehouse, acquired as part of a deal long ago but forgotten. We now offer them for sale in good service used condition, definitely having seen use in West Germany. We have heard that these WWII Style mess kits were used by the Bundesgrenzschutz (Federal Border Guard or BGS) in West Germany, and were popular due to their larger size.
Please note that all of these are missing the handle for the inner plate. Dates and markings vary, as does condition. They measure approximately 7 1/4"W x 7 1/2"H x 4". Perfect for reenactment as a budget-friendly alternative to a WWII Original.
