New Made Item: One of the rarest of U.S. WW2 Martial Knives, this V-42 is our Reproduction which faithfully copies the original issue. Double edged 7" blade (un-sharpened) with special grooved recess at the recasso to grip a thumb-grip when thrusting, leather grip with leather bushed steel cross guard, another unique feature. Pommel fitted with substantial skull crushing point making this a real close combat weapon.
Complete in an all leather scabbard with integral belt frog and tie down leg thong. Issued in WWII to the Elite Special Service Force, which later became the U.S. Special Forces, whose crest displays a V-42 knife centrally.
