Top quality hardwoods become even more beautiful with age, and these slabs are aged for more than a year before shaping. Inletted for safety, with cutouts for mainspring housing pin, and beveled bottom edges give a neat, finished appearance. Diamond Checkered, 18 lpi checkering, broken by smooth diamonds at the grip screw holes.

Colt 45 Wood Grips
The over-all quality is good. The only issue I had is that the pair were not color matched. One was a medium tan color and the other was dark brown. I finished them with Tung Oil and they turned out beautiful. I installed mine on a Sig 1911 .22 - the fitment was perfect.
Colt 45 Wood Grips
I actually purchased these to put on a KWC Airsoft Colt 45 replica. Some carving was required to get around the Co2 but they fit like a charm. Treated them with Linseed oil and they turned out perfect. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible.
