This is a lovely example of a Danish officer military Model 1889 shako, made with high-quality wool material and adorned with a silvered trim that adds to its aesthetic appeal. The shako comes with a brass and polished steel hat badge that is expertly designed to complement the overall look of the shako.
The brass ring chin scales are an additional detail that gives the shako a more distinguished appearance for an Officer. The interior of the shako is lined with a beautiful light blue silk that adds comfort and elegance to the piece. There is a clear maker’s mark on the interior crown for Seifert & Norgaaro of Kjøbenhavn.
Furthermore, the shako comes with a leather sweatband that ensures a comfortable fit. There is a name tag under the sweatband reading J.R. DREYER. Its approximate size is US 6 3/4 (54cm), making it an ideal fit for most mannequin displays. This is a great example of a scarce shako, ready for further research and display.
