German WWII Anti-Tank Tellermine T.Mi. 35 Teller Mine M35 - Inert

Regular price $99.95

Item Description

New Made Item: Display Only, this mine is totally inert and cannot be converted to an explosive device. It is in full compliance with guidelines provide by the BATF. Not Available for export.

A steel and brass reproduction of the highest quality manufactured exclusively for IMA and copied directly from an original sample in the IMA collection. This reproduction is lighter weight the then original specs due to the absence of explosives, but the size and scale are 1:1. The top surrounding the dummy fuse is spring loaded, and can be pushed in.

The Tellermine 35 (T.Mi.35) was a German metal cased anti-tank mine used extensively during the Second World War. The mine's case is made of sheet steel, and has a slightly convex pressure plate on the top surface with a central fuze well. Two secondary fuze wells are located on the side and bottom of the mine for anti-handling devices. For use on beaches and underwater the mine could be deployed inside a specially designed earthenware or concrete pot, which acted as a waterproof jacket for the mine. Pressure of 400 pounds (180 kg) on the center of the mine or 200 pounds (90 kg) on its edge deforms the pressure plate compressing a spring, and breaking a shear pin which holds back the spring-loaded striker. Once the striker is released it flips downwards into a percussion cap which fires the adjacent detonator followed by the booster charge and then the main explosive filling of TNT.

Original Specifications:

Height: 76 mm (3 inches)

Diameter: 318 mm (12.5 inches)

Weight: 9.1 kg

Explosive content: 5.5 kg of TNT

Trigger weight: 90 to 180 kg

Makes a very cool prop for WWII reenactments especially when housed in an original wood crate

Need for a display mine

I really enjoy the IMA website and it is my go-to source for specific collectables and hard to find militaria items. The service is fast and professional. No issues and glad IMA is around! Thank you.

German WWII Anti-Tank Tellermine

Excellent to detail re-production of the classic German WW2 anti-tank mine. It's a perfect copy of the original rare inert Teller mine that I bought from IMA previously. Field Marshal Rommel had his troops place anti-invasion teller mines on telephone poles, which were planted beneath the water level at Normandy.

German Tellermine 35 / T.Mi. 35

Quite the outstanding replica! Sturdy sheet metal, spring loaded [not the 90 or 180kg] fuse looks great, anti-handling fuse & hole(s), as are all the other details. Fuse wire is not there, will make one; handle is a bit large, a simple modification; & am going to paint it the color green the Finnish army ordered to make it a panssarimiina m/41s. Will also need to make some kind of waffenamt stamp, as the fuse is a 1941 date. But that is half the fun eh
