Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely example of a British WWII propaganda poster urging citizens to put their savings to work supporting the war effort. The poster measures 20 x 30” and is in very good condition overall with just fold markings and very minor edge tearing.The poster depicts a stylised, shoulder-length depiction of a worker holding a sledgehammer above his head, which he is about to strike downwards. The bottom of the poster reads the name Farr, the poster’s artist. Below this reads: W.F.P.199. Issued by the National Savings Committee, London, the Scottish Savings Committee, Edinburgh, and the Ulster Savings Committee, Belfast. Printed for H.M. Stationary Office by J. Weiner Ltd.
