Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting poster meant to advertise the 1937 German Police Athletics Championships, taking plate from August 6-8th, 1937 at the Sports Field in Frankfurt, Germany. The poster measures 23½ x 30” and has some condition issues, with tears along the fold lines. This would be a great candidate for framing.
The post depicts a German policeman preparing to throw a Stick grenade in front of a German NSDAP Banner. The poster states that German police championships in Athletics will take place at the event. Sunday, August 8th, 1937, at 2pm will be mass exercises and demonstrations, and a Handball match between the Magdeburg Police and Frankfurt Police. The entrance fee and ticket purchase information is at the bottom. Of note is that there would be a discount on Tram fees when you show your ticket for the event.
The poster has been essentially torn in half at the fold seam, with a large piece of tape at the back keeping it held together. Thankfully this damage isn’t readily evident, and this example would still look fantastic in a frame. A great example, ready for framing and display!
