Original Imperial German WWI Scarce Late War Prussian M1910 Feldgrau Schirmmütze Visor Cap - “As-is”

Item Description

This is a fantastic example of a Late-War M1910 Schirmmütze Feldgrau Visor Cap as worn by NCOs of Infantry during WWI. This late-war example has a white-colored band around the visor, meant to look like the camouflage band worn on caps during the mid-war period. This example is very rough, with moth damage on the front, sides, and back of the white band. It is however in good condition overall with the sweatband fully intact and a name inside. This is a great chance to find a scarce cap for a good price.

The front of the cap bears a Black, White and Red Reichs Kokarde (Imperial Cockade) on the front of the crown, with a Black and White Cockade on the cap band for Prussia. The black visor is still in good shape and is still well-attached to the cap, with some loss of stitching on both sides. The sweatband is fully intact and the lining is still partially present with a name partially visible. There is mothing in the lining as shown.

A lovely example with some issues, ready for further research and display.
