Original Pair of Unissued WWII Australian Pattern 10085 Boots with Brass "Jungle Cleats" - Dated 1945 with Jungle Leggings & Standard Anklets

Regular price $395.00

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a great unissued pair of hard to find Australian "Pattern 10085" Leather service boots, complete with rare brass "Jungle Cleats." These were designed for use in the Pacific theater, where many of the areas occupied by Japan had tropical climates, and a firm foothold was very important. These boots are really in great shape, and come with a pair of jungle leggings as well as a set of standard anklets.

The sides of both boots have matching markings and dates:

N704
CLO 654

The sole of the boot is marked & dated:

N704
1945
6/4
BROAD ARROW JD

We are not sure if the 6/4 is a size, but there are no other size markings on the boots. They each have 6 pairs of painted alloy eyelets, with leather laces for tightening.

Overall condition is excellent, with only wear from storage and age. This has caused some of the leather to darken, and the laces are now somewhat stiff due to drying out. Otherwise, they are near mint. The included jungle legging are in good shape with honest storage wear. They are also dated 1945 on the interior. The anklets are unmarked but retain their straps and buckles and are of the period.

This is a great set, ready for further research and display.
