Original Item: Only One Available. This is a truly massive bullet mold, clearly stamped twice with COLT'S PATENT and was intended for use with a very substantial firearm. With a 6 round capacity, it was intended for .55-100 Maynard the plate that is missing should allow for the casting of hollow base bullets. The bullets produced are .55” caliber, and would measure about 1 inch long, based on the location of the overflow hole in the mold.
The mold does show use, and there was most likely originally a hinged plate on the bottom, which is now missing, though the iron pivot pin is still partially present.
Clearly totally original, this showed up in an Estate Sale with no information. Original and Impressive, could easily be used as a club if required.
