Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely 1971 dated Vietnam War Era U.S. Army cardboard recruiting standy, showing a member of the the U.S. Army in uniform with a 173rd Airborne Brigade patch. These tabletop displays are what’s known as a “standee”, a cardboard cutout with a foldable bracket on the back that “locks” into place allowing it to stand on its own.
The standee measures 24" in overall height, and definitely has been set up and displayed before. It does have some tearing along the folds on the support, and shows wear consistent with display use. There is some facing and missing areas on the printed side, as well as on the reverse. The very bottom on the right side has miniscule markings reading RPI 335. JANUARY 1971: ☆ U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE : 1971-0-412-587.
This will certainly add eye appeal to any military display!
