Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of an original WWI Model 1916 holster for the Model 1911 .45 Automatic Service Pistol. This holster is maker marked “G. & K”. for Graton & Knight Manufacturing Co., Worcester, Mass. This holster was made in 1917 and inspected by “F.I.C.”. Graton & Knight made many of these holsters for WWI and WWII, however the date along with the brass belt clip indicates this is definitely a WW1 holster close to 100 years in age.
This M1916 holster is in very good condition, with a deep russet brown color to the leather, with no major damage, and just wear and marks from age. All stitches still intact, with all brass parts still present, though there is some verdigris buildup around the rivets and hanger, as expected after 100 years. Original elkhide tie down thong is intact.
A perfect accompaniment to a M-1911 or M-1911A1 Pistol!
