Original Item: Very Few Available. We have just acquired a small number of the M1902 Cavalry Sword / Saber Leather Hanger straps, as used with the M1902, M1904, and M1910 Cavalry gear. They are made from "Russia Red" finished leather with all brass hardware, and have a clip at the top to secure to the belt, and also have a nice hook at the top so that the sword can be "hitched up" when on foot. We have seen some sources list these as "enlisted" while others say they are "officers", but which ever they are, these are not dress hangers: these were intended for use in the field.

All are complete with a functional top clip and hook, as well as both brass studs, though some may only have one of the two keepers on the straps. Some bear markings, while others are unmarked, and condition varies widely. If you are looking for a top condition example hand selection is recommended, and we cannot make any guarantees regarding markings.
