The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 ignited not only anger towards the enemy, it also sparked a wildfire of patriotism in every American in all corners of the country. As the war effort was kicked into overdrive, Americans did everything they could to remind each other why they were fighting and what could be lost. A prime example of these reminders is this cap you are looking at here. It is very patriotic in nature and design. In the early years of WWII how could you not remember Pearl Harbor?

This is an interesting example of homefront memorabilia, a fold cap made to both advertise Kay Furniture in Dearborn, Michigan, and to encourage others to Remember Pearl Harbor and contribute to the war effort. The top of the one side reads “Remember Pearl Harbor” over the advertisement. The cap was made by the Capital Advertising Co. in Detroit, Michigan and is a size medium. The cap is splitting at the top seam.

The other side of the cap has the same advertisement with “Keep ‘Em Flying” above it. A very nice piece of homefront militaria, ready for further research and display.
