Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Despite this being dated 1945 with the prefix of Me - Ro and a serial 1761, this doesn't really tell us exactly the date of manufacture, since the end of the war in Europe came in May 1945.
We assume however that this pistol was made after the liberation from NSDAP Germany, with whom they had been allied and then occupied by the Soviet Union. So we conclude this is a Soviet authorized Signal Pistol. It is constructed of blued steel, with aluminum grip panels. Design is quite similar to the German LP42, which it was no doubt modeled after.
This is only the 2nd we have ever had, and it is in excellent overall condition. It breaks open correctly, with the ejector presenting, and the the hammer and firing pin and are present and fully functional.
