Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is an interesting pre-WWI powder keg container manufactured by the well-known E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company, one of the largest manufacturers of gunpowder in early American history, now still existing as a multinational chemical company. The keg has a label for the company with a patent date of 1908, which is around when this would have been manufactured.
Not Available for Export.
The keg measures 9¼” in diameter and is roughly 11½” tall. It still retains its screw-on cap at the top, and there is still some powder in the keg, which smells about as you’d expect. The keg is painted green and has a 25 pound capacity. A very interesting piece, ready for further research and display.
