Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great totally inert non-firing BATF compliant excellent condition RL-83 Blindicide 83mm Antitank Rocket Launcher which was issued to the Israel Defense Forces in the late 1960s. It has correctly had a bore width hole drilled through the side, and has a welded in cross pin near the center joint, making it 100% legal to own without a license of any kind. As deactivated ordnance it is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

All pieces are offered in excellent condition, showing some wear from storage, and it still breaks down correctly. We checked the monopod leg and it is fully functional, the blast shield installs correctly, and the front and rear sights still work. The unit does appear to have been repainted at some point during its service life. It retains the original Israeli markings highlighted in white, giving the serial number as 5/11200, and there are lot of other proof markings in Hebrew in various areas, as is correct. Definitely some good research potential here!

The RL-83 Blindicide is primarily an antitank rocket launcher, but other rockets can be fired. It was produced by Mecar SA of Belgium and was an improved derivative of the M20A1 Bazooka. Its name translates to "armor killer", derived from the French "véhicule blindé" (armoured car) and the suffix -cide meaning to kill. The RL-83 version was used by the Israel Defense Forces IDF in the late 1960s and early 1970s during the Six-Day war and the Yom Kippur War
