Original Item. Only One Available. This is a rare example of an original fatigue cap used by Chinese National Revolutionary Army (國民革命軍) at the time of the Sino-Japanese war of 1937-1945. Often abbreviated as the NRA, the group was the military arm of the Kuomintang (KMT, or the Chinese Nationalist Party) from 1925 until 1947.
The cap is of very fragile material, and is made to resemble the forage cap used by the same country, with similar stitching patterns that are just decorative. The original chinstrap is still attached but fragile. There is heavy staining across the piece and the material is fraying a good bit. The front visor has the correct stitching patterns. This is a very scarce cap to find, as they are so fragile that they normally fall apart.
