Original Items. Only One Available. This is a great WWII American aviator’s set including a British Type C flying helmet, British Mk VIII Goggles, and a U.S. A10-A oxygen mask. The U.S. Army Air Forces were supplied with some British helmets & goggles, so this mix of British and U.S. gear makes sense.
The items in this group include:
-WWII British Type C Leather Flying Helmet with original straps. Service number 1710294 is written inside one of the ear pieces. The helmet is in fair shape overall with electrical tape wrapped around both earpieces and heavy sweat staining and wear on the interior.
The helmet is approximately size 7¼.
-WWII British Mk VIII Goggles in phenomenal condition with a clear maker’s mark between the eyes on the interior, LOOL 4. The eyepieces are both in great shape and the straps are still very pliable. A great set of goggles.
-USAAF Oxygen Mask Type A10-A manufactured by Acushnet. Size Large and offered in wonderful condition. There are some tears in the rubber tube as shown. Marked TYPE A-10A DEMAND SPEC NO. 3134 ORDER NO. AF-42-20477-P. PROPERTY AIR FORCES US ARMY.
This is a fantastic set all in good service-worn condition. Ready for further research and display!
