Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a fantastic set of five Souvenir Trench Art Matchbox Holders, all being personalized and some being named! They range from World War I into World War II.

The lot includes:

• One large WWI brass cigarette case with a wreath on the front reading SOUVENIR FROM GERMAN PRIS. (PRISONER) 1917 with the initial M.A.H. on the back. Measures 3¼ x 2¾ x ¾”.
• 32nd Division WWI matchbook holder with scene depicting Germans with Iron Crosses. Back is engraved 17-18-19 ALSACE VESLE SOISSONS ARGONNE MEUSE (RED ARROW INSIGNIA) 32 DIVISION. Very scarce division that saw a ton of combat. 2½ x 1½ x ¾”.
• WWI Prisoner of War Company #48 Souvenir matchbox holder depicting Church on coast of Talmont, February 1919. Named to Thomas J. Lee, requires more research! 2¼ x 1½ x ¾”.
• WWII Souvenir Matchbox holder made from Japanese Zero Fighter Aluminum, Port Moresby (New Guinea). Named to Harry Kroger 15-5-42 (May 15th, 1942). This example has its original matchbox, Independence Safety Matches. Some matches are still inside! A great piece. 2¼ x 1½ x ¾”.
• WWII German Souvenir matchbox holder depicting a beautiful woman in a dress on a balcony. Dated June 12th, 1942. Requires research. 3¼ x 2 x ¾”.
