Czech Sa vz. 61 Skorpion Plug Fire Replica by Hudson Toy Company of Japan with Original Box

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition Hudson Toy Company of Japan blank fire Chezcslovkian Škorpion vz. 61  Replica. These replica toys guns were built to extremely high quality standards and have become incredibly collectible in their own right. The example features a real hardwood stock with metal construction. Functional spring loaded thumb lever activated magazine release, functional trigger with bolt action that fires from the "open bolt" position, metal screws, fixed forward combat sights with adjustable rear sights, safety, all metal drum magazine and more. Entire replica will break down and function as the original but CANNOT BE MADE TO FIRE REAL AMMUNITION. This is not a gas operated gun and does not fire plastic pellets of BBs.

Designed to fire brass blank blow back rounds (rounds are not included). When the brass cartridges are fitted with the proper caps, this replica is designed to fire in semi and full auto modes. The tolerances are tight and the machining is accurate. These replica blow-back blank guns are essentially very realistic and sophisticated toy cap guns. They ignite a small primer that fits into the brass “cartridges” which, when the trigger is pulled, creates a small ignition that in turn cycles the bolt to blowback, eject the spent casing, then chamber another “round” to repeat the process. It will fire in semi-automatic or full automatic mode. The brass cartridges are 100% reusable. Brass cartridges are not included. Overall condition of this example is excellent.

Hudson replica guns have been used as props in major motion pictures for nearly 40 years. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the rarest Hudson replicas to ever come out of Japan.

History of the Sa vz. 61 Skorpion :

The Škorpion vz. 61 (or Sa vz. 61 Skorpion) is a Czechoslovak machine pistol developed in 1959 by Miroslav Rybář (1924–1970) and produced under the official designation Samopal vzor 61 ("submachine gun model 1961") by the Česká zbrojovka arms factory in Uherský Brod from 1963 to 1979. The standard version uses .32 ACP ammunition.

Although it was developed for use by security forces, the weapon was also accepted into service with the Czechoslovak Army as a personal sidearm for lower-ranking army staff, vehicle drivers, armoured vehicle personnel and special forces. Currently the weapon is in use with the armed forces of several countries as a sidearm. A variant of the Škorpion, containing a synthetic pistol grip in place of the wooden original, was built under license in Yugoslavia, designated M84. A civilian, semi-automatic version was also produced, known as the M84A, also available in .380 ACP (9×17mm Short).
