Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. The Beretta Model 1934 is a compact, semi-automatic pistol which was issued as a standard service firearm to the Italian armed forces beginning in 1934. It is chambered for the 9 mm Corto, more commonly known as the .380 ACP. It was designed and purpose-built for the Italian armed forces. In the early 1930s, the Italian army was impressed by the Walther PP pistol. Beretta did not want to lose a big military contract to their German competitor and designed the M1934 for the Italian Army which accepted it in 1937. This model was followed by the M1935, which was similar to the M1934 in most respects, except that it fired a .32 ACP (7.65 mm Browning) cartridge.
This is a fantastic extremely high quality Italian Beretta 34 "Plug Fire" replica gun, made by the well-known Model Gun Corporation (MGC) of Japan. These work with replica "cartridges”, which have small caps "plugged" into the front of them, which are then detonated by the replica bolt. These were ejected like real spent cartridges, and could be reloaded with additional caps. Sadly the plugs and caps have all been lost, probably long ago somewhere in a backyard.
The replica was manufactured by the well known Kokusai Model Gun Company in Tokyo, Japan. The MGC and Hudson Industry are the 2 most famous long-established model gun makers which first produced the original Japanese designed modelguns in 1962–63 and subsequently produced many different models in the next few decades. Unfortunately, both of them are now gone. The grips are a bit cracked as shown and the pistol has heavy wear across.
MGC closed and ceased all toy gun production in late 1994. The molds and production equipment were taken over by its parent company Taito and Shin Nippon Mokei (New Japan Model). The modelgun production was continued and marketed as New MGC. But the company started selling its molds and production equipment from 2007 and production finally ceased in April 2010.
Other early key makers are Tokyo CMC, Nakata and Kokusai (International Industry) which started modelgun production in the mid 1960s. Nakata and Tokyo CMC ceased the modelgun business respectively in the late 70s and 80s. In 2003 Kokusai went bankrupt after a factory fire and was taken over by Sun Project. The modelgun production was resumed with the Kokusai brand and used the remaining modelgun molds. Later the molds and equipment were sold to Uriu Limited (a die casting Co.) which continued the production still with the Kokusai brand until January 2018 when its modelgun production finally ceased.
Comes more than ready for display.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
BLANK GUNS ARE NOT TOYS! Never ever point your blank gun at another person (except for movies, plays etc where that type of behavior is expected). Even though they don't shoot a projectile they can be mistaken for the real thing.
Do not carry your blank gun in public. It should NEVER be carried on the street, hidden on your person, or left carelessly in your car. Do not leave it where it is accessible to unsupervised children or irresponsible adults. If a police officer sees you with one he will shoot first ask questions later. These blank guns look and sound real.
Wear ear protection when firing blank guns. The 8mm round is very loud and can damage hearing. When using a blank-firing, stage prop pistol, always fire them with arm fully extended and at a safe distance from any other person. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. NEVER point any blank-firing or stage prop pistol at any person.
When blank-firing stage prop pistols are fired, gunpowder gas is vented forward and sideways through the front of the cylinder, NOT from the muzzle. This gas is hot, and may contain small particles of powder debris. At arm's length it dissipates harmlessly into the air, but if your hands, face or other parts of your body are in close proximity to the vent hole it can cause burns, cuts or abrasions.
