Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of a service-used First World War Australian P-1915 Canteen, complete with its harness. There is some moth damage as shown, with the top of the cover appearing very weak.
The harness of the canteen is embossed on one of the belt attachments with AUSTRALIA C.G.H.F., indicating manufacture during World War I by the Commonwealth Government Harness Factory.
The harness is in good shape and keeps the entire set together. The cork is retained as well but shows heavy oxidation.
An exceedingly scarce example of an Australian WWI Canteen, ready for further research and display!
