Original Items. Only One Available. This is a phenomenal set of ANZAC field gear from World War I. The best piece of the lot is the duffel bag clearly named to Percival Harley Bennett of the 11th Australian Field Ambulance. Bennett was gassed in action and was discharged before the war’s end due to the severity of his wound.
The lot of field gear includes:
-Duffle bag named to Percival Harley Bennett of the 11th Australian Field Ambulance. The bag reads 12598 P.H. BENNETT. 11TH FD. AMN. A.A.M.C. A.I.F.. Bennett enlisted on February 16th, 1916, and was wounded severely by gas inhalation on June 16th, 1917, being treated in a hospital for several months before being discharged by reason of medical unfitness on July 26th, 1918. The bag measures 16x27”. We have included some of the digital research we did on Bennett.
-WWI Australian Rare cloth bandolier retaining all its black buttons. These are sometimes marked with date but this example is certainly period.
-WWI Australian Leather P-1903 Five Pocket Leather Cavalry Bandolier marked H.G.B. 1918 below the buckle.
-P1903 belt in chalky condition but still-pliable leather. There is a name written on the back side of the belt but it is hard to make out C. Stirling A Coy.
