M.J. PATTISON worked in Dublin from 1800-1840 and executed many British government contracts. This Flintlock Brass Barreled Blunderbuss is marked DUBLIN CASTLE across the tail of the lock plate and has a Crown over G.R. to center. The brass butt pate is marked 16 and the Irish gun registration number is also present - WI 1049.
The brass trigger guard is also marked with a D over 16. The all brass bell mouthed cannon style barrel is 14.5 inches in length while the overall length of the weapon is 30.5 inches.
