Original Items: Only One Set Available. The Royal Horse Guards, known as the Blues and Royals are, together with the Life Guards, better known as the Household Cavalry. In simple terms the Horse Guards wore blue tunics with red horsehair plumes on their helmets and the Life Guards wore red tunics with white horse hair plumes.
These are the guys that clatter alongside the Queen on state occasions or sit on their horses guarding Buckingham Palace and other Royal London residences.
This is what the set is comprised of-
Original Officer gilt lined parade helmet with red yak hair plume. Only issued for the use of Horse Guard Officers, the helmet plume bears a "Rose" finial to the top unlike that of the Life Guard's which has a gilt round button to top with White horse hair plume
Original red leather lined officer cuirass set (Armor), front and back plates with over the shoulder brass articulated straps and leather waist belt.
Blue Melton cloth tunic with red trim and regimental stay bright buttons, complete with gold roping Agliettes to each shoulder.
