Item Description
Original Item: The British Lanchester SMG was developed in the wake of the 1940 Evacuation of Dunkirk, which had resulted in a large loss of functional small arms. To help fill this void, it was decided to make a direct copy of the German MP28, which meant far less time required for R&D on a new submachine gun. Overall close to 100,000 were made during WWII, most of which went in to service with the Royal Navy.
This set consists of many of the parts that would normally need to be replaced during the service life of the Lanchester. Included are the Firing pin, the ejector, the bolt extractor, and the recoil spring.
