Item Description
Original Item: Only one available. This is a very rare British WW1 issue Harrington & Richardson Arms MK I, 37 mm Flare Gun / Tear Gas Projector with hinged frame and break action lever on a standing breech. Nearly identical to the Webley & Scott Number 1 Mark I flare gun, except that it has a permanently attached wooden buttstock.
These were produced under contract for the British military in World War One and were also used in WWII. After the war some saw service in American prisons and with American police forces. This example appears to have only been issued to the British Military as it has multiple British proof marks and broad arrow stamps with no commercial nomenclature whatsoever. Serial number 2200.
Condition is very good with only minor blemishes in the finish and completely functional.
