Original British WWII RAF Fighter Pilot Type C Leather Flying Helmet with Mk VII Goggles

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is set is comprised of an excellent condition RAF Type C flying helmet which is nicely marked on the exterior with a Broad Arrow and REF No. 22c/880. Inside is is stamped as a Size 4 with 7 1/2 and 7 3/4. The leather is in excellent condition with virtually all of the original finish. All straps are excellent and retain the original coatings on the press studs. The lining is spotless clean indicating only light use.  The rubber receiver carriers are excellent and completely flexible. The chinstrap retains the RAF blue color and has full elasticity. This is one of the best condition Type C Royal Air Force flight helmets we've ever encountered.

Also included is a wonderful hard to find complete set of Mark VII (MK7) flying goggles complete with the ultra rare original flip up sun shield. They are very well marked authentic British WW2 fighter pilot goggles as used by Spitfire and Hurricane pilots. Well marked with King's Crown, over A.M. (Air Ministry) over 22C/826 above 1858. Leather lined with cotton adjustable strap. Still retains the very rare early dark filtered tint flip down eye panel with nose cut out which was always removed in later service. Complete with an original RAF dark blue paint finish to steel parts, these are exceptionally rare WW2 RAF fighter pilot goggles.
