Only One Set Available: A wonderful brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet with elastic snap chinstrap. In 1944 the internally wired C type flying helmets were issued. These came with wiring loom and earphones already factory installed. This fine example comes without front goggle straps and features an elastic chinstrap and a built in clip on the right side to accommodate the oxygen mask attachment hook. Helmet is approximate size 58cm (US 7 1/4).
The earphones are nicely marked with a broad arrow and 10A/13466. All wiring is intact and complete. The goggles are wonderful, classic Mk8 goggles featuring leather construction with suede lining, steel eye brackets encasing tinted glass lenses (no cracks or chips), and a classic elastic cotton strap that is still somewhat stretchy. Also included is a very rare oxygen mask complete with hose, electrical plug, straps and marked REF No. 10A/12570. The mask is in excellent condition.
This is a fantastic set, all complete and ready to display. Just perfect for any WW2 aviator collector.
