Original British WWII Second Pattern B2 Marked Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife with Original Scabbard

Regular price $695.00

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is one of the rarer versions of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knives. This version features a blackened brass handle, blackened blade, and “Broad Arrow B2" stamped on the cross guard. The crossguard is NOT stamped with ENGLAND, making this one of the scarce examples not exported. The knife comes with a fantastic and correct leather belt sheath.

Condition of the knife is good, still with a sharp edge, possibly the original factory sharpening, although heavily worn and pitted. The condition of the blade indicates it was heavily service-used, and is missing much of the original blued finish. The crossguard is still firm on the blade, and is marked on the bottom with a BROAD ARROW next to a partial B2 stamp. Research indicates that the B2 marked knives were made by Wilkinson Sword Company.

The leather sheath is in rough condition, with solid leather and a very worn chape that shows oxidation and paint loss. It has an intact belt loop, with the elusive securing elastic strap still fully retained. One of the two rivets securing the belt loop to the sheath is missing.

A good example of a rare knife that would fit well into any British WW2 collection.
