Original Item: Only One Available. This is a small but substantial Flintlock pistol carried (in a pocket) by French Gendarmes (Police) during the late 1700s and early 1800s.
5-inch barrel and an overall length of just 10 inches, fires a 5/8" ball, so this pistol carried quite a punch. The lockplate marked MANF. A ST.ETIENNE has a brass powder pan and all brass mounts. The barrel tang marked M 1770
