Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fine German Flintlock over and under pistol signed C.JOS.FREY MUNCHEN who worked from 1685 until 1782. Fitted with a single Flintlock mechanism the pan has two levels, the second only being revealed by sliding back as the cock is moved to the cocked position after the first barrel has been discharged.
Fitted with a large brass grotesque mask butt cap and the other mounts, trigger guard, side plate and ramrod pipes also of engraved and embossed brass.
Two .40cal 10.25-inch barrels with an overall length of 17 inches. A most unusual ignition system, this pistol dates from approximately 1750.
