Original Item: One Only. This is just lovely, clearly a gift between Officers to underscore their friendship. Just 30" overall length including a substantial, beautifully carved, ivory top mount measuring 7", with a nickel collar inscribed in German script. We are unfortunately unable to make out the inscription.
There is a large Coat of Arms in carved displaying a Knight's helmet over a shield amidst flags and banners reading MANNES??UTH, FREUNDSCHAFT, and WISSENSCHAFT.
The Ivory top mount is substantial culminating in a ball almost the size of a Golf Ball displaying age cracks of the type only seen on items over 100 years in age.
