Original German WWI/WWII Set of Four Officer's Leather Holsters - P08 Luger and three 7.65mm

Item Description

Original Items: Only these three available. These is a set of four different German era holsters from the WWI/WWII era, one for the 9mm Luger P08 Pistol and three for Medium-Large 7.65mm Pocket pistols, of which there were numerous in service. These come from a Collection of Pistol Holsters purchased by IMA, some with an old index card enclosed giving the model of the pistol and Serial Number of the pistol originally issued with the holster.

The first holster is a black contoured softshell holster for the P08 Luger, and is much more form fitting than the usual type encountered. It has a spare magazine compartment on the side and tool compartment on the lid. This holster has the original manufacturer's stamp on the back, along with a 1916 date. Condition of the holster is very good, with all stitching intact, though it has definitely been reworked several times. The leather is soft and supple, with a great aged look and feel.

The second holster is a brown Leather flap top holster with spare magazine compartment to the front, and is the typical medium-large size "high-front" holster with a "break-away" design. This is the style issued for the many 7.65mm pocket pistols used by officers. This would include the Walther PP, FN Browning 1922, and other larger frame examples. The rear shows a maker marking, with a 1940 date. This holster is in good used condition, and is in very good shape, having not seen much use in service. There is little wear and no staining on the inside, though the leather finish is somewhat mottled from contact with grease.

The third holster is a black Leather flap top holster with spare magazine compartment to the front, and is the typical small size "high-front" holster. This is the style issued for the many  of the smaller 6.35mm and 7.65mm pocket pistols used by officers. The front under the flap shows a maker marking, with a 1940 date. This holster is in good used condition, though it definitely has been reworked and bit, and has repairs. It is however solid, with mostly intact stitching, and a great broken in feel. The bottom of the holster is open, but could easily be restitched.

The last holster is a black leather flap top holster with spare magazine compartment to the front, and is the typical medium-large size "high-front" holster with a "break-away" design. This is the style issued for the many 7.65mm pocket pistols used by officers. This example has an index card inside, indicating that it is the Holster For CZ 27 / Ser# 562065 & Extra / Magazine. The rear shows a maker marking and Waffenamt, with a 1940 date. This holster is in good used condition, and is in very good shape, having not seen much use in service. There is some finish wear around the magazine pouch, but it is otherwise solid, with all stitching intact.
