Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic full set of first aid bandage supplies, some of which are still in the original wrappers with WWII dates. They are contained in a classic good condition German WWII DAK Afrika Korps painted first aid Verbandkasten steel case. The case features a carry handle on one end, and is finished in the correct DAK Tan color and has the medic red cross in a white circle on the top. The case does show some age and use, and the painted markings on the case are quite faint, as is the Verbandkasten stenciling. The inside of the lid has the remains of the original contents label, however it is only about 2/3 complete, and is stained a bit.
The case is completely full with wartime issue medical supplies some of which have dated wrappers bearing 1940, 1941 and 1943. There are bandages, a tourniquet , some bottles (empty), bandage safety pins, etc. This is an extremely rare and highly collectible set with a wonderful history, with most contents offered in excellent unissued condition.
