Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic German WWII swagger stick, commemorating service in the Army Heer Cavalry during WWII. Sticks like this are commonly encountered from veterans of World War One but very rarely from WWII. The top of the cane has an aluminum and steel cap, with a German Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) over a Crossed Rifle and MG 08/15, with a stick grenade and bayonet as well. Around this the cap is embossed in German Blackletter Type with the phrase Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit (A reminder of my service), a phrase often seen on commemorative service items such as this.
Further down the stick is a plaque with another Stahlhelm on top, and under this is a Horse Head over crossed sabers, the symbol for Cavalry. Under this it is marked Reserve hat Ruh', which roughly translates to "Rest for the Reserve".
The shaft of the stick is wrapped in lacquered red, white, and black fabric, and has a slight bend to it, which often happens over the years. There is also an attached tassel in the same colors. The swagger stick is offered in very good condition and measures approximately 34 inches in overall length, and is ready to display!
