Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. Award Document and Medal set to Kriegsmarine Matrosen Artillerie Gefreiter Alois Philippi. Awarded the War Service Cross 2nd Class with Swords, Paris, 30 January 1943. Has the stamped signature of Admiral Wilhelm Marshall as well as the ink stamp, Oberbefehlshaber des Marinegruppenkommandos West.
Also includes a 3.5 x 5 inch photo of him in Navy blue uniform, as well as his unworn Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2 Klasse mit Schwerten. It is suspended from about 8.5 inches of original ribbon. The original issue packet has no rips or tears. The back is ink stamped by the maker, Augustin Prager, Gablonz 82. Also included is a modern photo of a Uboat with German handwriting on the reverse.
