Original Item: Only One Available. This is a tremendous Luftwaffe Navigator’s map, one of a series covering all of Europe. This map is numbered 11, and shows Germany & Central Europe, including Bremen & Hamburg. It measures roughly 31 x 35” and has some interesting tactical markings made in grease pencil.This is an excellent example of a completely original soft-laminated aviation map of parts of Germany and Central Europe. As was done with many Luftwaffe Fliegerkarte, this map is laminated on some sort of soft laminate making water proof and so it can be folded and unfolded many times without ripping.The map is printed at a scale of 1:500,000. Because of the period German lamination, this map is still in very nice condition and completely readable. It is one of the 20 maps in the German World War II aerial mapping system of Europe from Tilsit to Timisoara and including England and Ireland. This is the first example we’ve seen with period annotations.Comes ready for further research and display.
